We also visited the Enchanted Forrest amusement park where the kids bounced and slid to their heart content on inflatables. We were mean parents and tortured them on the tilt-a-whirl where Wyatt almost tossed his cookies scared out of his mind and we laughed uncontrollably! Oh and then there was that tiger ride where the old man operator - drunk (I'm sure of it) - kept going for over 10 minutes - I almost clobbered him to stop and rescue my girl!
We then left for supper - stopped at Auggies pizza which was an awkward eat in experience - we felt like we were in someone's kitchen at their house - a family member at a table on his laptop, another in a chair watching a lil tv, kids running all around with their moms hollering at them! It ended up a good experience they were friendly with delicious food - however most likely it'll be take out next time ;)
Oh what else - story time in the lodge, mini golf (Wyatt got 2 hole in ones!!!) lots of desserts, and a quick (quicker than hoped for due to Emmersyns 'broken legs' and Wyatt's whining for his turkey sandwich in the car) trip to Starved Rock!
On a bad note there is a lost report filed at the hotel for soft puppy ;(. We are hoping he turns up, he always has a way of finding his way back! I told Wyatt he wanted another day of vacation at the hotel - which by the way - Wyatt calls 'college' for unknown reasons, but he's adamant about it!
We took a country cruise home and went out for ice cream and house hunting!
Am I ever so happy I took a vacation day! Weekends like these make working hard worth it!
Ps sorry if your eyes are bleeding - memory making and storing in process! =)
